Areas of Engagement
SPB provides students with access to professional speakers with comprehensive resources, mentoring and professional connections to help them become more efficient and more effective in all aspects of their trade. Our speakers reach audiences as thought leaders, consultants, coaches, trainers, educators, and motivators. Speaker events are guaranteed to sharpen your skills and expand your understanding of the design industry.
Design Workshops provide students with the opportunity to experience research-based strategic learning and teaching practices while empowering students to take responsibility for their own learning and success. Workshops allow students to collaborate with those around them and develop strategies they can use in the future.
TRIPS TO LOCAL INDUSTRIES
Segal Professional Bridge organized trips are recognized as important moments in learning; a shared social experience that provides the opportunity for students to encounter and explore novel innovations in an authentic setting. These trips can deepen and enhance classroom study and SPB argues that a quality design curriculum is one that extends beyond the walls of the classroom.
Collaboration enables SPB to work with other groups and organizations to achieve a defined and common goal. Our collaborative events help students develop awareness and self-synchronization. Collaboration relies on openness and knowledge sharing but also some level of focus and accountability on the part of Legal Professional Bridge and therefore, aeach eventi is a product in itself. SPB recognizes that more effective problem solving happens when we combine resources in talent, experience, finances and infrastructure with other organizations. Sharing and leveraging those resources means we have the ability to reach new markets and re-energize the connection we have with established members.
Mentorship program that pairs student with mentors in their desired design fields for resume reviews, portfolio reviews, project feedback, and mock interview sessions. Mentors are industry professionals. Mentors and mentees are paired per session instead of a long-term mentoring relationship.
