Preparation + Professionalism

Connecting Northwestern students to the professional design community since 2011

Headquartered at Northwestern University, Segal Professional Bridge (SPB) is a resource for Northwestern students interested in design. We connect you to the professional design community through mentorship, industry visits, design related events and workshops.

Meet our team to find out who makes all the magic happen.

Here’s What We Do.

Industry Visits

Getting into the offices and studios of professional designers is the best way to get a feel for design in the real world. We organize regular visits to local design consultancies and other design groups to get you a peak behind the scenes.

Having a mentor is like having a trusty guide on your journey to who-knows-where. Our mentorship program pairs students with mentors who have experience in a particular design fields to help them path-find a way into design.

Every year, we host a handful of events that we believe need to be brought to the Northwestern design community. These are always changing, so check out our current special events page.

Design Workshops fill in the gaps that students need to launch successful design careers. Workshops allow students to collaborate with those around them, learn new skills, and develop strategies they can use in the future.
